A touching article on Jack Paar shows the sensitive nonconformist that he was. He is best known for hosting The Tonight Show from 1957 to 1962 to be followed by long time host Johnny Carson.
A seven year old Shetland pony was bought for $56,000 won 83 awards, including five grand championships, and was rated one of the world's finest Shetlands. He was retired in November 1957 to stud for a $2,500 fee.
